John Riley

John Riley is the founder and principal consultant at J. Riley Associates. John’s background includes over 20 years of marketing and communications experience, primarily in the technology and financial services industries.

John has led marketing efforts for several venture-backed start-ups, including Apparent Networks, WorldStreet and Mazu Networks. He has also held senior marketing positions at Novell, State Street and Houghton Mifflin.

With his strategic and tactical abilities, John can identify the right mix of programs and the best ways to implement them to maximize results. Having spent years in the marketing trenches, John knows what it takes to make outbound marketing efforts successful. 

John holds a B.A. in English from The College of the Holy Cross and an M.S. in Communications from Boston University.

We use the resulting core positioning to guide our clients' strategic planning and tactical program selection. We collaborate with clients to define and document program requirements, and closely manage the process with detailed project timelines and budgets.
